February 17, 2013What you see here is a very detailed Sketchup Model of a school building.
It is FREE for use in OELVN projects or just whatever purpose it may serve you best…
It is modeled after the typical Japanese School building regularly seen in anime but the base model is actually a stripped down model of an actual existing building.
Be warned though… this model is very big and very complex… it will be a bit slow especially on older machines…
This building has both interior and exterior including furnishings…
It even has comfort room for boys and girls
Here is cutaway section to show interior detail…
Yes!… The building has ventilation and centralized air-conditioning… you can even follow the vents all the way to the air conditioners on the rooftop…
And here is a light switch…
And an xray view to show the electrical and ventilation provisions…
For those who love the rooftop, the view is also nice on top…

I doubt it’ll work very well on my machine, as you said, but that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to try it out.

Thanks a lot for this model, it’s going to be really helpful! To make my own, mind you, the file is just too heavy to open it with my computer (what are your machine requirements? ’cause mine is not that bad and just freezes!)

Do this…
Window Tab > Preferences > OpenGL
then check “Use Hardware Acceleration”
This should speed up sketchup. Also, here is an updated model with better looking exterior and interior and much more optimized. (See link below)

Hullo, thanks for the response! In the end I think I overestimated my computer OTL I could only navigate through the model when I used a friend’s i7. What I saw was astounding, mind you, you did an awesome job!
I touched a bit the model to add an indoor “fountain” where characters could meet (http://i40.tinypic.com/9s5wlf.jpg), hope you don’t mind. (Also, I’m planning to do a nurse office, this time from scratch). If you ever feel you want to add more details (‘though this one is more than enough detailed, for sure) these two may be good ideas 🙂

If its not to much to ask what program do you use for the 3d
For this one I used Trimble Sketchup (actually I’m still using the Google version before it was acquired by Trimble)

Both this version and the 2nd version of the 3D model is no longer available at Google warehouse. Can someone who has download them reupload the model somewhere else, please? perhaps on Mediafire or dropbox…
